Football Preview: Salem Lions vs. Scottsburg Warriors

Meanwhile, Scottsburg started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against North Harrison. They took a 29-14 bruising from the Cougars on Friday. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Warriors couldn't quite close it out.
Despite their defeat, Scottsburg saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Matthew Wickey, who picked up 147 receiving yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Wickey torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 71 yards. Another player making a difference was Nathan Byrd, who threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes.
Salem's record now sits at 1-1. As for Scottsburg, their record is now 0-2.
