Klein Cain made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Klein Collins, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-4 win on Tuesday. The Hurricanes not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st.

Amia Shead made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Brielee Weber was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmine Freeman, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Klein Cain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Klein Collins only posted an OBP of .276.

Klein Cain's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15. As for Klein Collins, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Coming up, Klein Cain will face off against Tomball at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Klein Collins, they will square off against Klein Forest at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
