Football Recap: Burgettstown Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Burgettstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 19-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Burgettstown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chartiers-Houston, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Burgettstown will challenge Fort Cherry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Rangers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Chartiers-Houston, they will welcome Bishop Canevin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Buccaneers surely won't give up without a fight.
