Sheyenne extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 5-2 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Devils Lake Firebirds. Considering the Mustangs have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Devils Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

For Devils Lake's part, Julia McIvor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that McIvor has hit this season.

Coming up, Sheyenne will head out to square off against Bismarck at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Devils Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grand Forks Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Firebirds are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
