Softball Recap: Alma Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Alma didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Foreman Gator Arkansas by a score of 7-3 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Airedales, who have now won three games in a row.

Alma pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Foreman, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Alma has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Bradley on the 22nd. As for Foreman, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mineral Springs at 5:00 p.m. on the 31st. Mineral Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.13 runs per game on average), something Foreman will no doubt try to take advantage of.
