Volleyball Game Preview: Granby Comets vs. Warwick Raiders + Official Tickets

After both having extra time off, the Granby Comets and the Warwick Raiders will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Granby sitting on 15 straight victories and Warwick on 20.

Granby is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past Maury 3-2.

Davis Mendoza was a one-man wrecking crew as he had 53 digs and two aces. Those 53 digs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carver Dean, who had 14 digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: Granby was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Warwick got the win against Kecoughtan on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Raiders have posted against the Warriors since March 17, 2021.

Warwick's victory bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Granby, their win bumped their record up to 22-2.

Everything went Granby's way against Warwick in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Granby made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
