Volleyball Recap: Norton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Norton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wichita County Indians on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Norton never let Wichita County on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13.

Lauren Sattler paced Norton's offense, picking up eight kills. Sattler got some help from Chloe Cox and her 17 assists. Finally, Alexis David kept Norton's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Despite the loss, Wichita County still got an impressive performance from Allison Hernandez, who had 16 digs and one assist.

Norton's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 15-11. As for Wichita County, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-15.

Looking ahead, Norton will take on Trego at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Wichita County has already played their next match (against Ulysses), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
