Volleyball Recap: West Wendover Wolverines vs. Pershing County Mustangs

West Wendover lost against Pershing County back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The West Wendover Wolverines came up short against the Pershing County Mustangs, falling 3-0. The Wolverines have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

West Wendover was not held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the 0th set very close. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-16, 25-16.

Even though they lost, West Wendover kept the net locked down and finished the game with ten blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in October of 2023.

After both having extra time off, West Wendover and North Tahoe will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. North Tahoe is coming into the game with five straight victories on the road, so West Wendover will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Pershing County, they will play host again on Wednesday to welcome Oasis Academy, where the match is scheduled at 5:00 p.m.
