Volleyball Recap: South Fork Starts Season with Win on the Road

South Fork had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Point Arena Pirates 3-2. This was payback for the Cubs, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

South Fork wouldn't go down easily and took Point Arena into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 18-25, 23-25, 15-7.

Coming up, South Fork will take on Mendocino in a tournament on September 4. As for Point Arena, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Round Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
