Basketball Recap: Pleasant View Christian Comes Up Short

Pleasant View Christian was the 65-50 winner over Lighthouse Christian Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pleasant View Christian Bulldogs took a hard 63-48 fall against the Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Pleasant View Christian lost, don't look at Landon Wagler. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 17 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Wagler's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Stoll, who posted nine points.

Lighthouse Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Jones, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Those 16 points gave Jones a new career-high. Timothy Lautenbach was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.

Pleasant View Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Pleasant View Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-10 win against Christian Academy of Madison on the 11th. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-66 defeat against Medora on the 11th.
