 Nixa is 8-2 against Webb City since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Nixa Eagles will head out on the road to  challenge  the Webb City Cardinals at 6:00  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Nixa was handed a three-point  loss in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Willard  on Tuesday. Nixa took their  matchup on the road  with ease, bagging a  75-45 victory over Willard.
 Meanwhile, Webb City entered their tilt with Joplin with five consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with six. Webb City blew past Joplin 73-43 at home  on Tuesday. Given Webb City's advantage  in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings  (they are ranked 42nd, while Joplin is ranked 301st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Barron Duda was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 36 points along with five  rebounds and four  steals. He hasn't dropped below two  steals for 21 straight games.  Eli Pace was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with seven  assists and five  rebounds.
 Nixa pushed their record up to 17-6 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Webb City, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record  this season.
 Nixa was able to grind out a solid  victory over Webb City when the teams last played  back in February of 2023, winning  82-69. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nixa since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
