Hand has a chance to get its first conference win this week when it squares off against Cheshire on Friday at 7:00 PM. The timing is good for Cheshire since Hand is limping into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last week Hand came up short against West Haven, falling 33 - 23. However, senior wide receiver Brett Bilcheck didn't go down without a fight as he picked up 154 yards on the ground.

As for Cheshire, it is still above.500 but has been slipping the past two games. It wasn't too far behind, but it still lost 27 - 21 to Notre Dame last week. Senior running back Brian Weyrauch didn't go down without a fight, though. He put up some defensive resistance with 14 tackles.

After their losses, Hand dropped to 1-7 and Cheshire dropped to 5-3. We'll find out which team manages to turn its luck around when they battle it out this week.
