Football Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Takes a Loss

Whitehall-Yearling suffered their biggest defeat since September 27, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 35-3 loss at the hands of the Buckeye Valley Barons. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Rams' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Alec Gordon threw for 60 yards on nine of 13 attempts. Christian Miller was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Whitehall-Yearling and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Buckeye Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Whitehall-Yearling will face off against Columbus Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Buckeye Valley, they will challenge Bexley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
