Baseball Game Preview: Porter's Chapel Academy Eagles vs. Adams County Christian Rebels

The Porter's Chapel Academy Eagles will head out to face off against the Adams County Christian Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Porter's Chapel Academy is looking for their season's first win.

Porter's Chapel Academy saw some tournament action back in February. They came up short against Briarfield Academy, falling 10-1.

Meanwhile, Adams County Christian entered their contest against Silliman Institute on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Adams County Christian lost 15-7 to Silliman Institute.

Caden Aplin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Adams County Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Adams County Christian suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 7-2. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Porter's Chapel Academy skirted past Adams County Christian 9-8 in their previous meeting back in March of 2018. The rematch might be a little tougher for Porter's Chapel Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
