Volleyball Recap: Canby Takes a Loss

Canby was the 2-0 winner over Prior Lake when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakers on Friday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grace Hansen paced Canby's offense, picking up six kills. Hansen got some help from Brynn Kockelman and her nine assists. Emily Nelson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Canby's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Prior Lake, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Canby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 5th. As for Prior Lake, they will welcome Rosemount at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Lakers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
