Volleyball Recap: Bucksport Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bucksport can now relate to. They came up short against the Mount Desert Island Trojans on Friday, falling 3-0. The Golden Bucks haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-11.

Bucksport's offense was headlined by Mia Evangelista and Lucia Ferreira, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Willow Savage and her three assists. Finally, Evangelista was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Bucksport's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Mount Desert Island, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 8-7.

As of now, neither Bucksport nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
