Basketball Game Preview: Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates vs. Whitehall Norse

Cochrane-Fountain City is 2-8 against Whitehall since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Whitehall Norse at 7:00 p.m. Cochrane-Fountain City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Whitehall likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Cochrane-Fountain City didn't have too much trouble with Blair-Taylor as they won 77-63. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly 14 points.

Meanwhile, Whitehall was able to grind out a solid win over Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on Thursday, taking the game 63-50.

Whitehall pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Cochrane-Fountain City, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Cochrane-Fountain City didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Whitehall when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 77-72 victory.
