Softball Recap: Crane Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Reeds Spring, Crane was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Greenfield Wildcats 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since March 31st.

Tailor Cleveland was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Rogers, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Crane's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Greenfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Crane didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-3 win against Southwest on the 18th. As for Greenfield, they will square off against Pleasant Hope at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
