Softball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valley Christian two weeks ago, Foothill came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Fairfield Falcons on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Fairfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Foothill will take on Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfield, they will welcome Armijo at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
