Pender and Humphrey-Lindsay are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Pender Pendragons will welcome the Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are still undefeated (Pender has 12 wins dating back to last season, while Humphrey-Lindsay has three).
Pender is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Lutheran-Northeast: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Pender blew Lutheran-Northeast out of the water with a 71-16 final score. Fans of the Pendragons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Madalyn Dolliver continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 9 from beyond the arc on her way to 23 points and three steals. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Walsh, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds.
Pender smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lutheran-Northeast only pulled down three offensive boards.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Humphrey-Lindsay's strategy against Plainview on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Humphrey-Lindsay blew Plainview out of the water with a 60-18 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 29 point advantage.
Pender better keep an eye on Faith Korth. She was instrumental in Humphrey-Lindsay's win, going 8 of 16 on her way to 21 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Those 21 points gave Korth a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Korth, who put up ten points along with eight steals and five assists.
Pender's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's contest: Pender has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 10.8 three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Humphrey-Lindsay, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 three-pointers. Given Pender's sizable advantage in that area, Humphrey-Lindsay will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Pender against Humphrey-Lindsay when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 76-38 win. In that match, Pender amassed a halftime lead of 38-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
