Softball Recap: Tuckahoe Starts Season with Win Against Pine Plains

Tuckahoe took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pine Plains Bombers an 8-0 shutout. The Tigers were shut out 1-0 the last time they took on the Bombers, so the Tigers were just returning the favor.

Pine Plains dropped their record down to 4-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Tuckahoe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine Plains, they will face off against Webutuck at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
