Soccer Recap: Midway Makes It Five in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Midway, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs onto the board and left with a 7-0 win on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Katelyn Weeks as she scored three goals for her team.

Midway's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those five contests. As for Copperas Cove, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 9-3-2.

Looking ahead, Midway will host Harker Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Copperas Cove, they will head out on the road to square off against Killeen at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Copperas Cove is facing Killeen at the right time seeing as Killeen is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
