Preview: Petaluma vs. El Molino
Petaluma will look to defend their home turf on Friday against El Molino at 7:00 PM. Petaluma have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Petaluma were able to grind out a solid win over Terra Linda last Friday, winning 21-7. Senior Garrett Freitas, who picked up 100 yards on the ground and caught passes for 69 yards, was a major factor in Petaluma's success. One of the most memorable plays of the matchup was Freitas's 50-yard touchdown rush in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, El Molino were close but not close enough as they fell 27-29 to Lower Lake.
Petaluma's victory lifted them to 2-1 while El Molino's loss dropped them down to 1-2. We'll see if Petaluma's success rolls on or if El Molino are able to steal their positive momentum.
