 Pueblo West got themselves on the board against Pueblo East on Monday, but Pueblo East never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-0  win over the Pueblo East Eagles. For Pueblo West, this counts as revenge for the   3-0 loss Pueblo East walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April.
 The result came thanks to  Logan King's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up seven Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Joseph Mendoza, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 On Pueblo East's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jacob Vondersmith, who  went 1-for-2 with a  stolen base.
 The  victory  got Pueblo West back to even at 9-9. As for Pueblo East, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
 Pueblo West will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome Pueblo Central, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:00  p.m. Pueblo Central will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Pueblo West surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pueblo East, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Pueblo Centennial at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last three games Pueblo East has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
