Softball Game Preview: Upper Perkiomen Indians vs. Spring-Ford Rams

Upper Perkiomen is 2-8 against Spring-Ford since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Indians will head out to take on the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Upper Perkiomen couldn't beat Methacton on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Indians fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-5.

Jocelyn Sledgen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Upper Perkiomen saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Burgundy Gahman, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Spring-Ford came up short against Owen J. Roberts on Monday, falling 16-9. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Upper Perkiomen's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Spring-Ford, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
