Recap: Dawson Eagles vs. Klein Cain Hurricanes
The Dawson Eagles entered their tilt with the Klein Cain Hurricanes with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Dawson snuck past Klein Cain with a 67-61 win on Tuesday. Given Dawson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Klein Cain is ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dawson found their leader in underclassman Bryce Davis, who scored 30 points. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for Davis. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Anderson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Dawson's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Klein Cain, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dawson will challenge Clear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clear Lake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,219 points over their last 17 matches. Klein Cain will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Dickinson at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
