Soccer Recap: Bennett Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bennett had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Clippers who were credited with the win. The Bennett Clippers got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Old Mill Patriots's four. Given Bennett's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland soccer rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Old Mill are ranked 153rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bennett's one-goal win came courtesy of Sebastien Dorvelus, who's now up to 18 this season.

Bennett's victory bumped their record up to 11-1-1. As for Old Mill, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11-1.

Bennett has already played their next contest (against Severna Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Old Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
