Basketball Recap: West Valley Triumphs

On Monday, it was close, but the West Valley Eagles capped 2024 with a 45-43 win over the Sunnyside Grizzlies. The 45-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory made it two in a row for West Valley and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Sunnyside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

West Valley has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. After both having extra time off, Sunnyside and West Valley will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
