Basketball Recap: Rappahannock Takes a Loss

Rappahannock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Essex Trojans, falling 56-19. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-22 back in January.

Essex's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amani Brown, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Brown a new career-high. Aryeon Robinson was another key player, putting up 14 points along with seven steals and six boards.

Rappahannock's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Essex, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Rappahannock nor Essex have any future games scheduled.
