Basketball Game Preview: Westside Seminoles vs. Callaway Cavaliers

Having just played yesterday, the Westside Seminoles will head out on the road to face off against the Callaway Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westside is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

On Wednesday, everything came up roses for Westside against Pike County as the squad secured a 69-35 win. The Seminoles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Callaway over Rutland in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Callaway blew Rutland out of the water with a 60-32 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cavaliers had established a 22 point advantage.

Westside pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.3 points. As for Callaway, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Westside took their victory against Callaway when the teams last played on January 7th by a conclusive 59-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westside since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
