Volleyball Recap: Ellie Garza Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest

Edinburg won the last time they faced Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats came out on top against the Javelinas by a score of 2-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edinburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ellie Garza, who had 11 digs. That's the most digs Garza has posted since back in October of 2024.

Edinburg's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Edinburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Los Fresnos on the 15th. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest, they will challenge IDEA Edinburg College Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
