Game recap: St. Genevieve clinches victory in low-scoring struggle with Animo Leadership

St. Genevieve (Panorama City, Calif.) and Animo Leadership (Inglewood, Calif.) both received superb games from their defenses, but St. Genevieve was able to break through the stalemate for a 9-0 win.

The Valiants scored on a punt return and a to pull out the win.

No one managed to score during the second half, so the lead St. Genevieve got on a safety with 9:00 remaining in the first quarter stood up for the duration.

SG came into the game allowing 0.0 points per game. The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which the Aztec Eagles took, 49-0.

The Panorama City school's was coming off a 42-0 triumph over Hamilton the previous week. Animo Leadership had lost to Brethren Christian last week, 50-2.



In a San Joaquin game tilt next week Animo Leadership (0-2) takes on Southlands Christian, and St. Genevieve (2-0) will go up against Mission Prep in a non-conference game.
