Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Eagles vs. Haralson County Rebels

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christian Heritage, the Mt. Zion Eagles were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against Haralson County by a score of 63-50. This was payback for Mt. Zion, who suffered a 58-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was another big night for Payton Waters, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Austin Waters, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.

Mt. Zion has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Haralson County, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.

Mt. Zion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Haralson County will head out on the road to take on the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fannin County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 267 points over their last four matches.
