Baseball Recap: Penns Manor Takes a Loss

Penns Manor had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-8 to make it five. They lost 10-0 to the Homer-Center Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Penns Manor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Cooper, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Homer-Center, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games.

On Homer-Center's side, the result came thanks to Dom Shimko's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Homer-Center let Collin Dunn and Braden Dunn run wild. Collin went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run, while Braden got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Brayden Rado was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

While Penns Manor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
