Baseball Recap: Norwalk Drops Season-High Score on Dominguez

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norwalk). They were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over the Dominguez Dons on Friday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Marcus Castillo was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Five bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. David Pelayo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Norwalk always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Norwalk now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Dominguez, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3-1.

Coming up, Norwalk will be playing at home against Santa Fe at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Dominguez, they will welcome Firebaugh at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
