Basketball Recap: Sipsey Valley Takes a Loss

Sipsey Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Northridge Jaguars, falling 64-43. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Jaguars are ranked 33rd).

Sipsey Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Northridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sipsey Valley will welcome Holt at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northridge, they will host Carver Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Northridge's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Carver Montgomery has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
