Baseball Recap: Civic Memorial Comes Up Short

Civic Memorial lost against Waterloo last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Tyler Mills was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Civic Memorial has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-18 record this season. As for Waterloo, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-9.

Coming up, Civic Memorial will square off against Effingham at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waterloo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
