Basketball Recap: Lincoln Triumphs

Lincoln had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 47-40 win over the Norwalk Warriors on Friday. The 47-point effort marked the Lynx's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Among those leading the charge was Easton Klement, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave him a new career-high. Jeremiah Slaughter was another key player, putting up eight points.

Lincoln smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Norwalk, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will challenge Waukee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waukee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matches -- so hopefully Lincoln likes a good challenge. Norwalk does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
