Baseball Recap: Whitney Wildcats vs. Rocklin Thunder
Whitney lost against Rocklin last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 5-4. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Whitney got a good showing from Braeden Jenest, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Jenest has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Josh Mendoza was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
