The Addison Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Arkport Central Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Addison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.1 runs per game this season.
Addison lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Jasper-Troupsburg, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Knights blew past the Wildcats 13-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Knights have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tyler Miller and Brady Newell were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Miller struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Newell pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Miller has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Miller went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Newell went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave Miller a new career-high.
In other batting news, Andrew Jones was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Zane Specht was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Arkport Central strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Bolivar-Richburg a 5-0 shutout. The five-run effort marked the Bluejays' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Arkport Central's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Addison, their record now sits at 6-1.
Everything went Addison's way against Arkport Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Addison made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Bluejays have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
