Countryside lost against Clearwater Central Catholic back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Countryside Cougars fell just short of the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders by a score of 50-47. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Countryside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kylee Moore, who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Wright, who put up 16 points and three steals.

Clearwater Central Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emme Dalhoff, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals. Dalhoff is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Sophia Landen was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Countryside's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Countryside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-33 victory against Gibbs on the 8th. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-34 defeat against Calvary Christian on the 10th.
