Baseball Game Preview: Palmetto Panthers vs. Southwest Eagles

The Palmetto Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Southwest Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmetto is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Palmetto had taken Ferguson down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. Palmetto fell 10-6 to Ferguson.

Sebastian Hernandez put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hernandez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Southwest unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 11-5 to Belen Jesuit.

Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Palmetto, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Palmetto couldn't quite finish off Southwest when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can Palmetto avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
