Softball Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City and Hickory squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Grove City had to settle for second. They fell 4-0 to the Hornets. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Grove City's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Hickory, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Grove City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hickory, they will square off against Sharon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
