Basketball Recap: Evansville Reitz Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

If Jasper wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Evansville Reitz, they should've done a better job of containing Bailey Hape. The Evansville Reitz Panthers walked away with a 35-24 win over the Jasper Wildcats on Friday thanks in part to Hape, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Evansville Reitz's points.

Another player making a difference was Summer Johnson, who put up six points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (two).

The victory was the third in a row for Evansville Reitz, bringing their record for this year to 12-2. As for Jasper, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Evansville Reitz didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-53 win against Danville on the 28th. As for Jasper, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-42 victory against Wood Memorial on the 28th.
