Baseball Recap: Brandeis Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Brandeis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Brazoswood Buccaneers by a score of 8-4 on Saturday.

Tanner Hallmark was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Grayson Hallmark also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Brandeis hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Brandeis' victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1. As for Brazoswood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandeis will face off against Clemens at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brazoswood, they will square off against Sweeny at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
