Basketball Recap: Chilton Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Chilton Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They fell 57-46 to East Central HomeSchool. That's two games in a row now that Chilton Christian Academy has lost by exactly 11 points.

Despite the loss, Chilton Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Cayman Hamilton, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards. The game was Hamilton's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Toby Epperson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

As for East Central HomeSchool, they pushed their record up to 1-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 69.0 points this season.

East Central HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Taylor, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. Jonah Dungan was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Chilton Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tuscaloosa Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for East Central HomeSchool, they will challenge Heritage Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
