It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Abington Heights can now relate to. They came up short against the Cumberland Valley Eagles on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Comets' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

While Abington Heights was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Cumberland Valley's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-14, 25-18.

Shawn Theodore Jr. paced Abington Heights' offense, picking up five kills. Theodore Jr. got some help from Ryan Horutz and his 17 assists. Horutz was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Cumberland Valley was led to victory by Hayden Ackley and Elijah Fox. Ackley had 14 digs and two aces, while Fox had five aces. Ackley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last 16 games he's played.

Abington Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Cumberland Valley, their win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-0-1.

Abington Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cumberland Valley, they have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Governor Mifflin on the 10th.
