Recap: Northeast Lauderdale Trojans vs. Quitman Panthers
The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans lost against the Quitman Panthers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Northeast Lauderdale had to suffer through a rough 68-34 loss at the hands of Quitman. Northeast Lauderdale has struggled against Quitman recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Quitman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from AUDRIANA HARRIS, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. HARRIS hasn't dropped below two blocks for ten straight games. Jahyla Dubuse was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Northeast Lauderdale's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Quitman, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Lauderdale will take on Choctaw Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quitman and Morton will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
