The Freedom Patriots will take on the Easton Area Rovers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Freedom is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
Freedom hadn't beaten Nazareth Area on the road since September 2, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Blue Eagles.
The win didn't come easy: Nazareth Area scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-29, 25-21, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Ondine Murabet, who had 18 digs and three aces. Those 18 digs gave her a new career-high. Morgan Pavolko also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Freedom was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 18 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Easton Area came up short against Bethlehem Catholic on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Rovers haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
While Easton Area was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bethlehem Catholic's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-19, 25-20.
Freedom will have to contain Jaymee Knox as she made an impact in Easton Area's last game. She had nine digs and one assist.
Easton Area now has a losing record of 8-9-2. As for Freedom, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's match: Freedom has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Easton Area struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
