Basketball Game Preview: Lambert Longhorns vs. Grayson Rams

The Lambert Longhorns will face off against the Grayson Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Lambert is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They managed a 62-58 win over Parkview.

Meanwhile, Grayson came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 26 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hoyas 76-31. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Hoyas are ranked 107th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lambert is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. As for Grayson, their victory bumped their record up to 27-1.

Everything went Lambert's way against Grayson in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, as Lambert made off with a 67-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lambert since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
